A: Being shot by a paintball does not hurt as long as all those playing follow common safety rules. There are certain places on the body that are more sensitive than others though. For example the hands and the neck. If you are concerned about pain, we do offer protective clothing rentals. Full clothing is available at $3.00 per player. You can rent gloves only for $1.00. Do not be too concerned about pain. We have a tough paintball policy that keeps people from bringing hard paintballs to our facility. Our velocity limit at 250 fps is far lower than most fields.
Q: How close is too close to shoot someone?
A: We require that when playing on our field that you do not shoot someone within 15 feet.
Q: What happens if someone shoots me too close?
A: You should tell a ref if one is available and also inform the management at our facility. There are times where refs are not available, in these situations offended parties will need to bring the concern to a True Paintball associate. We take this seriously and will do what we can to make sure players are following the rules. Accidents do happen and if you do shoot someone to close we encourage you to apologize immediately and correct your behavior in the future.
Q: What do I pay if I brought my own equipment?
A: You will need to pay a $15 all day field & air fee to play at our facility. HPA & CO2 is included in the price. HPA tanks can be borrowed although quantities may be limited and collateral is required. Clothes and protective gear are extra.
Q: Are all groups with reservations private/exclusive?
A: Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee an exclusive event for less than 10 people. Getting an exclusive event usually requires that the event is held during closed hours. Many of our customers do not call to make sure we are open during business hours. They arrive expecting to be able to play paintball, celebrate an important life event, or otherwise and we strive to include all customers and make sure their experience is unforgettable. We are closed Mon-Thurs to allow the opportunity for groups to setup private parties.
Q: How should I dress?
A: I would recommend wearing something with long sleeves, jeans, a baseball cap works good, and last but not least appropriate shoes. Gloves are required. Bring your own or rent ours for one dollar. Full clothing is a rental option at $3 per player.
Q: Will the paint wash out of my clothes?
A: The paint is washable and should come out of your clothing. That being said I would not wear your favorite pair of designer jeans and brand new tennis shoes. If worried, a full clothing rental is available for $3.00.
Q: What is the FPS on the paintball field?
A: Your gun must be set to operate at 250 FPS or lower at our facility. Rental Guns are preset at 250 FPS or under. If you suspect that your gun is shooting higher or lower than the other players, please ask for assistance at the rental room. You are responsible to check the speed of your equipment each time you come to play at True Paintball.
Q: What is the minimum age requirement?
A: Players must be 10 years old to play.
Q: Are barrel plugs or covers required?
A: If you bring your own equipment you must either have a plug or cover in/on your barrel when not on the field. We do not borrow covers or plugs. If you do not have one you may purchase one at our store. Plugs are $1.00 and covers are $2.50 (subject to available).
Q: Do you always have refs on the field?
A: We have refs on the field when we have reservations and when we can secure a ref. Our refs are volunteers and do a great job although sometimes it can be hard to secure refs to cover all fields during all hours of play. In general on our busy days such as Saturday we will have at least one of our fields reffed. Call ahead for a reservation for best results.
Q: Can I bring the paint I bought from somewhere else?
A: We do not allow offsite paint on our field. Our customers trust us to keep them safe and the easiest way to hurt someone is by using paint that has been handled improperly. Many types of paint also stain clothing. There are a couple of circumstances where paint may be brought in from offsite: - If you have bought paint from us in the past and would like to play with the unused portion, you are welcome to do so, but it MUST first be inspected by a member of our staffbefore you can use it in our facility. We will not, have not, and will never allow any Monsterball, Recon, Striker, JT or other low-end paint. We will not allow paintballs purchased from other sources at our field. Do not ask. Sneaking paint in will result in being sent home without a refund. - Paintballs purchased at True Action Sports (our store in Meridian) may be used after being inspected for safety at our field.
Q: I brought my own gear and it does not work. What can I do?
A: You can can pay the difference between the rental and field/all day air fees. The difference is generally around $10.00 if you purchased the field/all day air pass. It may not always be possible for us to work on your gear that day although if we do have time the cost is between $5-$10 + parts.
Q: I cannot get my gun to shoot under 250 feet per second?
A: You will need to modify your marker to shoot at this speed or you will need to pay for a rental marker. DO NOT play dumb. You will be removed from the park for playing above posted velocity.
Q: Can we rent paintball equipment and take it offsite?
A: We do offer offsite rentals. Depending on our reservations this option may not always be available. We do require a copy of a credit card and you must be 18yrs old.
Q: What is better CO2 OR Compressed Air? Why?
A: In most cases compressed air is a better choice for paintball markers. The reason we say this is because compressed air is more consistent and is gentler on the internals of the paintball marker. If you play much in the cold CO2 looses its efficiency and will cause what is called "snowing" out of the barrel. This is when the CO2 is not totally converted from a liquid to a gas. The cost can be a factor when choosing though. Generally a 20 oz CO2 tank runs around $19.00 at our shop where a HPA tank starts at $49.99.
Q: Can airsoft guns and equipment be used at your field.
A: The short answer is yes (under certain conditions). Airsoft parties must be setup in advance and cannot be done on the same field as paintball. Call for details.
